Since 2004 BBC Computer has given away more than 400 computers to needy families and individuals. These computers have been provided by donations of parts and finances from individuals and business. Computers are given according to the following criteria: They must not already have a computer in the home. They must be able to describe their need. Examples of needy people include single parents, retired, low income, unemployed, and those on government assistance. Anyone who meets these criteria may call 315-342-1076 daily 8:30 am to 1 pm. These are older, used computers that have been refurbished and reinstalled with a Microsoft Authorized Refurbishers licensed operating system of Windows 2000 or Windows XP Professional. These computers are internet capable and include a computer, monitor, mouse and keyboard.
